This beautiful flowering cherry is a newly established hybrid created from the Prunus sargentii ‘Rancho’ and the Prunus ‘Spire’. The cultivator, Donavan Leaman, crossbred the two trees and picked the best qualities from both. The leaves are metallic green in summer and turn brilliant shades of red and purple in autumn. A delicate array of soft, pink-white flowers bloom in April. The pretty floral display is attributed to the ‘Spire’ and the dazzling autumn leaves are from the ‘Rancho’. A truly magnificent garden tree.
