Mail-Order-Trees cannot be held responsible for delayed deliveries due to factors beyond our control such as Public Holidays or adverse weather conditions which make it impossible to lift bare-rooted trees. In cases such as these, you will be notified.
We can only deliver to physical addresses and not to PO boxes. A complete address including correct postcode must be provided. Incorrect postcodes cause more delays than omitting the postcode altogether.
Mail-Order-Trees cannot be held responsible for orders not received if an incorrect address is provided. It will also be necessary to give us details of where to place items should you be out when the delivery arrives. Mail-Order-Trees cannot be responsible for items lost if we have followed your instructions. A contact telephone number can also be very useful to our courier.
Petrorhagia saxifraga - A Delicate and Hardy Perennial
Petrorhagia saxifraga, commonly known as Tunic Flower, is a delicate and hardy perennial that adds a touch of charm to rock gardens, alpine gardens, and as ground cover. Known for its fine foliage and pale pink to white flowers, this plant is perfect for adding subtle beauty to various garden settings.
The standout feature of Petrorhagia saxifraga is its dainty flowers. Blooming from late spring to summer, these pale pink to white blooms create a lovely display that contrasts beautifully with the fine, grass-like foliage. The flowers attract pollinators such as bees and butterflies, enhancing the ecological health of your garden. The low-growing, spreading habit makes Tunic Flower ideal for filling in gaps between rocks and adding a soft texture to garden beds.
Caring for Petrorhagia saxifraga is straightforward, making it suitable for gardeners of all experience levels. Plant Tunic Flower in well-drained, rocky or sandy soil and ensure it receives plenty of sunlight, as it thrives best in full sun. Water regularly to keep the soil evenly moist, especially during dry periods, but be careful not to overwater, as the plant prefers drier conditions. To maintain a tidy appearance, trim back any spent flowers and overgrown foliage. In late autumn, a light mulch can help protect the plant through winter. With its low maintenance needs and delicate blooms, Petrorhagia saxifraga is a wonderful addition to any garden, providing subtle beauty and effective ground cover.
