The ‘Illumination’ is aptly named as the glowing foliage is perfect for brightening up a bed in your garden. This creeping plant spreads outwards and covers the ground and as this is an evergreen shrub it adds a vibrant burst of colour all year round. The glowing golden green leaves are ovate with dark green variegated margins and these make the perfect colourful foil for the long-lasting flowers. From April to September the delicate deep violet-blue flowers are nestled amongst the leaves and the flowers are popular with pollinating insects. Due to the trailing habit of this shrub, you can use it in hanging baskets or to creep down a slope or over the edge of a wall.
