Prunus 'Giant Prune', also known as Burbank, is a reliable and prolific cropper. The fruits are very large, oval in shape with dark red skin. This is a freestone fruit and it is therefore ideal for making jams and chutneys as the stone can be removed easily. This tough tree is ideal for exposed areas due to its good frost and disease resistance. (This is a self fertile Plum, which will also help to pollinate others in the same flowering group (e.g. 'Rivers Early Prolific')
