The 'Shasta' is widely planted in the US for its attractive habit: the spreading branches are tiered when mature and the shrub grows to be twice as wide as it is high. It features large clusters of lacecap-like white flowers that appear in May-June. The serrated leaves are bright green in colour ad ovate in shape: they turn to a pretty plum purple colour in autumn. This is a great choice for planting in a bed or border and also works well as a specimen shrub due to its attractive formation.
